The WR is wide open and still can't come down with the ball 50% of the time?

Private scrim on accident... so Corn can still see just some examples, but I'm sure people have more than I do:

Will screens ever be relevant if they aren't even now with 50+ receiving hands?

IT takes a few skills to successfully run a screen, the blocking is the most important imo, closely followed by the abilities of the screen receiver.

This should be easier.. also drives me crazy when they go the ground to catch a screen. Just coding wise think it should be caught or straight up dropped to simulate realism.

I'm strictly talking about the catch. I don't even care if they fall when they catch it, because not many WRs have balance and that actually makes sense.

I'm talking about screens to wide open WRs and they just stand at a dead stop while the ball hits them in the stomach and drops to the ground.

How catch-able is the pass? Pass Technique and accuracy matter too.

There should probably be more of an ease to catch some of the screen passes but much like GLB1, this game is likely going to get to the point where screens become a balancing act of not usable to best possible play.

It's obviously not obvious seeing how AGD2D is one of the few teams that can actually run a kick ass wildcat while other teams make posts like the OPs.

Is his Rec Awareness very low? Hands should be enough, but maybe there's something more difficult about screen passes that requires an awareness check.

I'd also test this again to see if it's just the sim acting up and giving you shit luck that time or if it's a consistent problem.

I've tested WR screens many times, and every time it results in me watching WRs stand wide open and get hit in the chest with a football.

However, in the rare occasion they actually do catch the ball (and remain standing) they actually work pretty well.

I have Team loaded with High Posession WRs and they still dropped 50% od the passes. My QB always has % of like 60-70% with "real" passes but dropped to 42% in the Screen Game^^ Was this seasons Off season, tho

How could you? you aren't a GM, you can't see the tactics calendar,

and half of glb probs doesn't even know what the wildcat should look like since few have the roster to even use it.

I mean not exactly a recipe for success. He only threw 2 other screens the rest of the season in scrims unless he was going to town in his 4 private scrims.
