I creating a ball hawking zone FS and was wondering if this would be worth a SA. Seeing the he's the one playing the deep zone most the time I figured it would be worthless.

Unless you play zone defense and know your guy is underneath, it really is worthless.

Since I can count on one hand the number of good teams that run zone defense, I'd highly recommend looking at something else.

Closing speed is pretty nice for getting to the line of scrimmage pretty quickly

Eyes on the Prize is rarely worth it on a Safety. There aren't many plays that use them in underneath zones. It's more of a LB/Inside CB skill. Even outside CBs it's 50/50 if your team runs zone, because often they'll get deep shell zones in many plays.

If I'm a safety or CB, and I want an "I know this works" SA for coverage stuff, I'm taking 3rd Down Stopper.

Eye on Prize. Never saw it fire. Ever!

it works, its just rare and very specific on its conditions. If zones end up worthwhile at endgame, maybe worth it. I wouldn't recommend it as a first SA to take to gold though. Some SAs are much more reliable at lower skill levels.

I take that back. Just saw it in one of the recap plays. Your right about not taking it first.
