I feel like getting a good old fashioned brag thread going - so lets compare people's best Pancakes to Revcakes (offensive players) and Revcakes to Caked (D-linemen) ratios on the season.

My FBs are damn good at the cakeyness - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/26317 129 pancakes and 5 revs this season, or 25.8 pancakes to every revcake (and in a pretty good league). He's my volume guy when it comes to cakes, but http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/22538 is the ratio king for me - 65 cakes, rev'd only once on the season. Who's got them beat?

I'm not going to bother putting a DL in for myself(none of mine are good, but I figure the thread would spill that way anyway.)

I'm not sure about individual players but the Thunder's team ratio is 795 cakes/151rcakes or 5.3 cake/rcake ratio. A far cry from QCB'S 7.3 but probably the best in sophmore.

Pretty sure non-lineman should be in a different category, as they are never blocking on pass plays and can just invest entirely into run blocking with no pass play pancakes.

lol...you can easily change that by allowing us to hold the Backs in in pass plays to stop the Blitzing

You can hold them back to stop blitzing.

lol... Even vs 6 Rushers it only fires very rarely. Hoever, plays like the Zero Edge Blitz and OLB blitzes our of 3 Linemen formations arent even possible to fire.

If u allow it, ppl would start thinking about investing points into passblocking for Backs. But right now its pointless.

I do know itd NGTH, tho. Was just respdonding to your first post here

peeti has a point. Some of those 3down lineman with 2 LBs blitzing are more effective than than the 6 pass rusher plays, and they are guaranteed to never have an extra blocker held into block. Yet you refuse to give us plays that will automatically have a 6th blocker even when we want/have asked for one.

Also why can't we hold an extra blocker against 5 pass rusher plays if the QB knows a blitzer is coming? Is he just supposed to trust that his Olineman will always win 1 on 1 vs. high pass rush technique Dlineman with spin cycle? When you make the technique investment required not to be embarrassed by those type of defenders every pass play then you usually don't have the physical ability or recognition skills to pick up a blitzer anyway. You have to choose to either be capable of getting in front of blitzers or holding off those spin masters. That isn't even considering the investment into run blocking as well

The requirements to hold back a blocker are too strict. We can't even tell what skills we need. I was certain it was pocket awareness but even at 50 vs. 6 blitzer plays it only happens very rarely. Leadership would make sense but at no point in it's text description does it even give a hint as to whether or not it would affect holding in blockers so we can only assume it doesn't.

So you can't use 5 blockers against 3 DL blitzes granting you unlimited pocket time, etc etc.

and Yes, the QB is supposed to trust that his OL will win every block on every play.

But not fullbacks. http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/5783 is 49.67 to 1, which is great (very great), but still not 65:1.

i dunno, OG's guy has been sacked 53 times this season in 23 games, many of which were me fucking around. Skills and gameplanning are your friend.
