Did this a few seasons ago: http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=5109291 and I think it worked out alright for the kids ($300 to charity between 3 peeps). Romo gave me 100:1 odds in that thread ($25 vs $2500 to charity) but I doubt anyone is crazed enough to give those odds again.

So what are the odds that the Hedgehogs win a S41 WL championship? Also are you willing to put your money where you mouth is with a paypal or charity bet? If I see value in your evaluation, I of course would be willing to throw some dollaz behind it.

Gonna say a bit higher than last time you did this just because I think the league is a little weaker now. Though I think getting to the playoffs won't be easy for anyone besides the Gurupies and maybe Odessa (stronger of the DS teams, run oriented).

The next step of teams from 3 to 13 are pretty damn equal imo.

In Alpha I think the playoffs will be a little harder road (especially if you aren't HHWC obviously) but I think there will be less variance of who the playoffs teams will be.

This thread needs more of the steel city scrubs overhyping themselves. Scrubs from steel city and hedgehogs together couldn't make a good WL team.

if it wasn't toward charity it would be a guaranteed money grab...i would love to make some cash for doing absolutely nothing

While I'm not willing to put money on it (even for charity)... with a kid on the way it's just too dumb... my guesses are that you have a pretty uphill battle.

In our conference you have:
Indy - Champs last season
Sumatra - Easily made playoffs in a stacked Zeta season
South Side Mafia - Again 5th place in a stacked Zeta season
Port Chester - Had a WL playoff win last season, lost to the eventual champs
Polk High - Had a WL playoff win last season vs #1 seed (no it wasn't the mice)
DOW - won a WL title, and been playoff WL team since
Hood Rails - been a WL playoff team for multiple seasons
Jackals - been a WL playoff team for a couple seasons
Odessa - Promoted, but have a pretty damn strong WL legacy behind them... dominated in pro last year, so I expect a solid run in WL

plus you have a few of the "bubble teams" promoting. The teams that have promoted a lot of times, but usually don't stay around long in WL... Chicago falls into this one.

So it'll be tough to make the playoffs I think... but if you do you might get lucky and face a team that doesn't have much experience in WL playoff wins

Clear favorite IMO.
