Rhode Island in my opinion is one of those teams that are better than their record suggests. They will not end the season winless but there is something to be looked at on that team. Is it builds, is it coaching or is it just this league is that damn tough? DeepRoute needs this win to stay in any playoff hunt as they are a game behind the wildcard and 2 games behind the division leader. Expect DeepRoute to win but in dramatic fashion.

I have been burned in the past in picking Sacramento to provide an upset and this is a very strong contention as the game of the week but I believe there is more on the line for both teams in another game. Sacramento has been playing teams close and just coming out on the short end of the stick in league play and I am banking on the luck of the B-Squad changing this week. Detroit has been on a tear as of late as well but in a dead lock for division lead with Ministry the pressure is on and will they make a mistake?

These two teams are the biggest surprises this season for opposite reasons. Texas has made a turn for the better while Alpine has stumbled in league play this season sitting at 4-4 where they were undefeated at this time last season. Texas is coming off a big win handing Ministry their 2nd loss of the season on some very key plays that cause momentum shifts, but it all came down to a last minute forced fumble at the goalline to secure the win. I don't expect that same level of play this week from the Toast.
