Alpine has a rough go this season. They are sitting at .500 for the season and the playoffs are looking further and further away with each game that goes by. This is a complete shock to everyone as they seemed to be such a powerhouse. The only thing I can resort to is that during the offseason they made a questionable hire which gave some awry recommendations of how they train and prepare for games. Rhode Island just can't get thier first win, and I don't believe this will be the week that they do that.

So here we are, Season 3 and the 3rd matchup between these friendly foes. During Season 1 the Gangsters handed Ministry their only human regular season loss and Ministry clearly got their revenge last season with a blow out win. Season 3 has favored Ministry with the sim and relinquishing control of play calling has hurt New York so far this season. Ministry has no room to lose any games as though they have the lead in the division its can change with 1 loss. New York on the other hand has no option but to win otherwise pretty much kiss the playoffs goodbye.

Helmand Provincial Pathan Pansies (3-3) (64) at Kansas City Beached Whales (5-1) (54)

*** UPSET ALERT *** Helmand is playing some pretty good ball lately and Kansas City is licking its wounds after a loss last week. I don't expect Helmand to take it to the Beached Whales but I do expect them to either hold on to a late lead or win the game late. This should be an interesting game that could be a turning point in Helmand's season.

Can't call this an upset alert as Texas Toast is not doing as good as they once were but I do think that Sacramento is the underdog in this game. Now that doesn't mean I believe they will lose, quite the contrary, I believe they will this game rather handily. Expect the B-Squad to make sour dough out of the Texas Toast.

Tampa yet again has made the game of the week, but this time is against a proven top team in Beta of Detroit. Detroit has stumbled twice this season once to Alpine early on and the other time against then a red hot Beached Whales team. Tampa is clicking on all cylinders winning games close and holding opponents down with a stifling defense. Detroit is playing some inspired ball as well, but we have seen the hairline cracks show in a few games. Expect this to be a heavy weight fight defensively between these two teams and the winner will be the one that lands the most jabs and wear out the opponent.

PREDICTION: Tampa Piranhas 14 - Detroit Foreclosures 10

I can't argue too heavily against your pick as I think it could easily be either team's game depending on how the sim runs. But I do think you deserve to be fined by the league for that pun.

Solid write up. If Biily White Shoes Johnson would bring back his early season play we'd be a lot more dangerous.

I think it was ingenious!

To prep for this game I watched the Helmand-Tampa game.... What a heartbreaker! Helmand scores with less than 2 to go and are down 2. They miss the 2-pt try because the running back falls down catching a pass thrown right to him. Then they hold Tampa 3 and out but have to drive from their 20 with just over a minute. They drive 60 yards and the kicker misses a 37 harder, his second of the day. I wouldn't call this days matchup an upset if we lose,dang good team, but it sure would put a damper on our playoff lead.

Also freakin Xombi is destroying the MVP metrics. We never have guys in the offense or defense voting but Billy dominates the special teams. Recently looked and he's number 2 because Xombi gives up 4 punt return TDs in the same game! Why are they so bad? Djibouti was in my last league, can you imagine how awesome our league would have been if they had come over with us instead of Xombi?

Good game, B-Squad. You guys are a great team, and are just cursed with whatever we had last season where you win all of the ladder games, but get unlucky with the dice in league games.

Nice job changing your defense Texas Toast. I scouted your team and you always ran bad defenses against the spread HB dive. You really shut down our running game.
