Restrict the use of goalline offense to only be used on "less than 1 yard to first" situations and in opposition redzone. This to prevent GL-sweep spamming. I like it when the games i play look like football and not some freak show.

I mean, they are aiming for casual-like here and the restricted options make it hard to plan against every exploit.

What, we cant go for it on 4th&inches on their 30th but we can run GL-offense on 1st&10 on our own 20?

Also restrict 12-year-olds from using the forum.

How about instead of crying and trying to restrict things, you suggest better defenses out of the goal line, and while we're at it, give GL passing plays.

How about I suggest whatever I want and, instead of telling me what to do, you suggest what you want.

Ya know, I don't actually think of it as goalline. For me it's more "As Close To Single-Wing As I Can Get".

So anyway, dear killershrew my friend
methinks thou doth lack thinking lateral
and thou wearest blinders tightly bound
which make your plays into collateral

I'm not sure if you are familiar with football, or sports in general, the point of sports is to use whatever means within the rules to win the game, if your offense is having a hard time with a fast defense, then the GL is your best bet.

Except, in GLB2, nobody actually uses goalline to run up the middle. It's best plays are the strong sweeps. You can get absurd blocker vs tackler advantages against teams that don't realize you need to get out of goalline defense to effectively counter the goalline sweeps. A fast defense would be considerably more useful against goalline offense the way it's used currently.

Well, in my case at least, it's because I've found vastly better inside run plays

This. The current GL plays are god awful. they are a no go for virtually any situation.

GL Defenses suck because all the players get sucked into a vacuum at the line allowing the HB an easy hole for pay dirt. This was a similar problem in GLB1 during the Islam era.

I kindof agree with OP, but I don't know about restricting GL sweeps massively, even though it gets stupid when an Offense does the same thing over and over, but I would say make it easy to gameplan to counter it, so it isnt such a disadvantage defensively.

Right now if the other team goes in FL formation anywhere on the field, my D seems to also automatically go to goalline D...the game should instead by default go into something with more guys back, which would not be such a massive advatnage to the O...because right now it is.

So why does the game not default into something more balanced, instead of by default putting out a goalline D that I dont really want out there, and which favors the 0 every time. Most touchdowns being scored right now are probably on that play.

So, why not make it easier to set tactics to counter that OR by default go into a more balanced defensive set ?

Also, how would I even "change" my D tactics as some people suggest ? Can we make our own defensive plays ? I think the answer is no. So all I can do is set "balanced" or some other type of generic defense, which is not much at all. so, the CPU should be changed to not always go goalline D against goalline O automatically, or there should be an option somewhere to click off that.

As it is right now I have no idea how you can "gameplan" against that beyond clicking 1 of 5 buttons on the generic gameplan. Am I missing something ? As an owner I cannot appoint myself as DC either so if I was DC would I see a different menu ?
