Yes - in the offseason, using your respec will give you back that AP (and also, obviously, all your other points).

Keep in mind, if you've already respec'd last season, your next ones are not free.

The best time to use the free respec is at the end of rookie season IMO. It's the only time it acts like a "full" reset.

Incorrect

You only recover the points from that season.

If you respec at the end of sophomore you can respond the sophomore points, but rookie points are locked away forever.

Also, you can respect while on a team during the three day offseason

so if I used my first 3 APs in rookie season and respec to get them all back, then in my sophomore year I use all those 5 APs and respec again. Will I get 2 APs (earned in sophomore yr) or 5 APs(spent in sophomore yr)?

Just what you earned in that season

'whatever your build was when you first gained XP in your newest tier,' he says.

So, if I saved all the APs in previous seasons, spent it altogether in one season, and then I respec. That statement implies that I will indeed get them all back.

That's a different scenario than what you presented in previous post though.

edit: meh maybe not different after rereading...We can test on one of my WRs in D'haran if you want.
