I've been looking for a football game like this..but..

wow..

Where's the instruction guide? Training assignments to get use to the game? Mentors? Helpers?
Step by step newb guide??

I made a player, but I have no team.. really?? so what now?

After twenty minutes of looking around, I have no idea what is going on. This is not fun at all..

How many new players do you lose in their first week do to this problem?

I'm giving up for today. I'll log in again later to check answers, hopefully I'm missing something very obvious.

Administration seems to think things are fairly self explanatory. When you created your player, at the top of the page as soon as you made him, a box showed up, saying "This player has 6 pending contracts" with a big yellow button called "offers". Additionally, on your home page, at the top is a box saying that your player has pending contracts. Click the yellow button - 6 teams (3 run by the CPU, 3 run by players who may or may not be active) auto-offered a contract. You will be able to play on those teams, you will get experience, your player will improve.

At the end of the season, he'll hit free agency, where you'll be able to find a new team for him, owned by humans.

Where is the fun in that? Half kidding of course. I see their are many players here so the game must be better than I'm seeing..

I want a team! How long before I can buy one please?

I cant even figure out when games are played.

I also don't see many other frustrated newb topics, so I guess I'm just an idiot?? hahaha

Welcome!

You can sign up to buy a team any time. They cost 500 flex points per season. They're only handed out every offseason. We're currently in the middle of the 3rd season. That said, I wouldn't recommend doing so until you've gotten the hang of handling your own player or two. Then, I'd probably see about getting signed on with a team as a coordinator or such so you can mess around with stuff like tactics, depth charts, rosters, etc without having to pay the 500 flex per season to own a team. Coordinators can win trophies just like owners, and they don't have to pay the flex to do it.

For your first player, go ahead and sign with one of the CPU Teams that've offered you, just so you can get an idea of how games work and how your player will accumulate stats and skill points. Obviously, you want to try and sign up with a human team eventually (probably this coming offseason). It's considerably more fun to play with a team run by/with other players.

Games are played 2 out of every 3 days, and scrimmages may be played by teams you're a part of anytime they choose to schedule them.

I'd recommend reading the FAQ threads stickied at the top of the FAQ forum.

And keep asking questions here as your understanding grows
