So let me get this straight. After losing to us earlier in the season, you're suddenly getting a big head about winning the second game with a lucky dice roll?

Bit of advice for ya, bright boy, you didn't hear me trash talking Glasgow when we beat you earlier this season for the same reason it's so very ridiculous to listen to you know. The endings of our last three games have been less than a single score apart.

I consider Glasgow to be an excellent opponent, and I really enjoy playing that team. I also think vladd has done a very good job putting that team together.

What I think of you, on the other hand...

I readily admit to taking pride at being good at what I do. But there's a world of difference between that and having a big head.

I don't believe in modesty as a virtue. Modesty is a word made up by lesser things to protect their delicate egos.

If you're good at something, and I could learn from you, then I want to know that. If you're good at something, and that something can help me or my team do better, I want to know that. That catch is that you do have to be good.

On top of that, you'll never hear me call someone who has also demonstrated they're good at whatever a chump or anything of the like. Oh, I love snarkiness and will poke and play, but never insult.

Modesty is a word used by people who know they are good to be virtuous and gracious with it. It is not a word that lesser people use for any ego protecting. That analogy spits in the face of what modesty actually is.

If you are good at something and you know it then being modest makes you look like less of an asshole than the egotistical person who boasts about how good he/she is. IE you win the internet argument... If ever that was possible.

Sounds like Xav didn't take that loss to well.

Nah, I don't stress losing, even when it's totally on me like that game where I'd put some zones in to test, but hadn't tweaked my tactics to make absolutely sure we didn't call them at the end of the game.

It was just the whole eye-rollingness of chest thumping what was obviously pure luck that I called him out on.
