How long does it usually take on the wait list before you get a team? Just curious.

People usually get their team at the beginning of the offseason. Rare occurrences (which I doubt is going to be happening anymore since the flood of people have pretty much calmed for a team) will go mid-season.

Expect it this coming off-season if you get on the list.

Wow I thought it was a lot quicker process. So it could be a month before I get a team?

You're best off not owning a team in your first season, anyway, usually - team ownership is hard. Spend a season or two learning the game, making connections for possible recruiting, and maybe try to get work coordinating for someone else to get AI experience. Jumping into a team when you're brand new is very hard for success.

Potts is right. Play and build a network of friends, then you can consider buying one.

I used my connections from GLB1 and then grabbed some more while owning here in GLB2. So yes, connections should be a #1 priority.
