Anyone have any idea how far away GLB official tournaments are? You know, with games that would be found when you filter for "Tournament".

Probably next season.
I was hoping to have them done and ready for this season, but this past offseason was pretty rocky and the ship has kind of already sailed for the season on that front.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect them to come mid-season. Here's hoping for a smoother offseason after S3, then!

GLB2 should rip the CentSports model and do that instead of survivor. Just use fake money and have people bet on games. If you lose it all you get the starting $ amount back to startover again.
Have a leaderboard and give trophies for top 10, and 1st/2nd/3rd at end of season. There'd be no 'forgetting to set picks' and losing.

Everyone starts with $500, resets give you $100, all straight pick bets (no moneyline, no over under, no point spreads). Trophies and I'd say 100 free flex (a small but noticeable amount) for the leaders.

Yeah survivor was cute when it was user-run for the world league but didn't translate well when adopted by the site IMO. Side games like that can be left out of GLB2.

Here's what I got from euchrid on tournaments for GLB2:
I checked, but unfortunately FOR NOW it doesn't look like this is doable. It's not that there are restrictions on the images that can be uploaded to GLB2 teams, it's that no images can be uploaded to GLB2 teams - the system is completely different than in 1. We have some things coming up that will make organizing tournaments easier on your end (details on that soon), but it doesn't sound like it's going to include the option to upload custom trophy gifs like in GLB1. So for the time being it looks like the answer is 'no', but there will be more info about tournament options later this season.
