So I get the catch up thing now for players that end up a little off on bars.

Here is my question. If someone missed boosting and then decided to boost and Catch up to the rest of his class is that possible OR once you miss that season boost your done and will always be behind your class with boosting?

You can boost anytime. 2 more SP boosts become available each tier. The 3 ability boosts unlock at the last 3 tiers.

So a seasoned guy this season who never boosted can boost now all 6 times and be even with his class with game played and boosts.

This is a slightly unrelated question but I can't seem to find the answer in the forum.

What is a reason for not boosting as early and often as possible? Is there some hidden benefit for not boosting?

No benefit. People probably do it out of laziness or lack of flex.

You have to spend ability points or whatever they are called as soon as you earn them? News to me.

If you want to sign to a team, you have to spend the SP.
