I hate to cut people who just signed with the team but this happened twice yesterday. I send out 4 offers to centers for 2 positions spots. I get 2 guys who sign which was great them about 2 hours later another center signs with the team so i had to cut him. Which I felt bad about wasting his time but I can't have 3 centers on a team. Wake up this morning and a similar think happens at OT.

Most people do not I would think, just don't use auto-contracts

Retract any open offers as soon as possible once you've got commitments. It's not a fail-safe but it should short-circuit unwanted accepts.

It does seem foolish on their part to just blindly accept an offer without doing a tiny bit of research into the offer is from etc

Would be nice to have an option to auto retract offers at a position once that position reaches the recommended max, or something like that. If you can check in pretty often you can usually retract offers before too many sign, but most people....even team owners sleep at some point.
I've been in that situation before where I needed say 2 players a position and sent offers to 4, then waited hours before going to sleep while none signed, then wake up to see 3 or even all 4 signed, then it can be a major decision as to who gets the PM saying "Hey, so I really don't need your dot...."
