Say on goal line D plays. You do not chose any plays that resemble a goal line D. But instead you use a 4-3 or a 4-4 play(any). Will it call what you have in place in your playbook or will it default to call a Goal line D that GLB has made a goal line play on there play selection list?

Yes - it calls what is available in your playbook against that certain formation.
If you have only 4-4 plays in your playbook for goal line - that's all that will be called unless you have some other logic issue in your tactics (and maybe even then it still does - I'm not sure)
