Worth having your say as it would affect every team here and all of our rivalries.

As a GM, I am not a fan. We did alot of hard work to get a team together and this idea would just wash that all away.

I'd hate to wind up in different leagues each year. I want to work the hard way to get to the Pro's...by winning championships and dominating a league. I'm in favor of the top two moving up and the bottom two moving down rule. If you miss it, tough cookies. Try again next year.

I really like the idea because I recommended it to Bort a few weeks back. It would help league parity, which will also help the huge disadvantage you have in morale by losing. It would also help the game become more realistic, with fewer teams going 16-0 and 0-16. That very rarely happens in the NFL. No team has ever gone 0-16 and only two have gone 16-0 in NFL history. Since when do teams win 100-0? The way it is now is like taking a college team and putting them in the NFL, hoping to win. They have no chance.

However, I don't like redoing the leagues each season. IMO it's better to reorganize the leagues once, then see what works best from there. The way it is now is extremely inefficient.

just remember this isn't the NFL, its GLB

I think some better ideas home come out of this discussion that would avoid a total reorganization:

- Faster promotion/relegation (anyone who makes conference final moves up)
- Teams sold back automatically drop to the bottom league for next season, if more than 4 are sold, an extra teams moves up, and so on

Faster team promotions and demotions can work in the long run, though they would likely need to be promoting and demoting about double the teams each season. This way, in a few seasons, everyone can generally be reorganized to the league that they should be in. Either way, if Bort wants it to be more realistic like he says he wants it to be, something has to be done about the lack of parity.

that's what i was thinking:

Pro - 8 down (4 zeta, 4 alpha)

AAA#1 - 4 up (2 zeta, 2 alpha), 8 down (4 zeta, 4 alpha) = 6 zeta, 6 alpha
AAA#2 - 4 up (2 zeta, 2 alpha), 8 down (4 zeta, 4 alpha) = 6 zeta, 6 alpha

AA#1 - 4 up (2 zeta, 2 alpha)
AA#2 - 4 up (2 zeta, 2 alpha)
AA#3 - 4 up (2 zeta, 2 alpha)
AA#4 - 4 up (2 zeta, 2 alpha)

Insert A when that exists, but same premise. AAA becomes the redheaded stepchild, caught in the middle, but it only moves an extra 2 teams per conference.
