it says when blitzing... for lineman do they consider every play blitzing? or only when you have a blitz call on?

"Blitzing" is defined as rushing the QB. So your DL is blitzing 99% of the time (there's a DE flats play where the ends play zone...but otherwise, blitzing).

I guess this answers my question about pocket awareness and if it applies to DT'/DE's. Thanks.

To clarify your DL is only blitzing for as long as they are chasing the QB.
If the play is a handoff, pitch or screen, your D-lineman will be blitzing for as long as it takes your D-lineman to pass the vision check to know to pursue the HB, FB, or whoever has the ball.
Also notice that when Tunnel Vision fires you lose a substantial amount of blitz awareness.
For instance, look at my rookie DE.
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/35381
He has 17 blitz awareness currently, while if tunnel vision firs, it's a -25 hit to blitz awareness. So my player will have -8 blitz awareness when the ability fires. I doubt GLB2 includes negative values, but it probably treats the situation as 0 blitz awareness. So if the SA fires before my DE realizes the play is a handoff or pitch he will be unable to realize such and will continue to pursue the QB long after the play has left him behind.

You are only rushing as long as the QB has the ball.
And if the SA fires before a hand off, screen pass or pitch, you could end up taking yourself out of the play by being unable to recognize that it's no longer a situation where blitzing the QB is appropriate.
