Are you able to buy sophomore teams? I can currently select sophomore as an requested team rank on the purchase a team page. It says only rookie teams are available on the same page.

If not, what would happen to teams with inactive owners? Is there any way to purchase those teams during the season?

you may want to see what bortdog says...As I think the Game went pretty down the river the last weeks, we really have many, many Inactive Teams and many Owners who will simply not renew. We may need a few more Sophemore Teams

Customer service told me buying sophomore teams was a 1 time option -- but from now on you can only get rookie teams.

Someone gave you the wrong info, when you go to buy a team, it gives you whatever team is available, or puts you on a waiting list.

so basically, as team reboot, most people will have to retire their players since there won't be enough teams for the higher level players.

"Only Rookie rank teams may be purchased; higher ranks must be earned through promotion." that is directly off the buy a team page

And what kind of team did you buy?

sophomore. so there is obviously a discrepancy. especially when I wanted to buy a rookie team
