I mean it would be pretty cool all joking aside. Its more and more in today's game...
And yes I'm very well aware this is a video game and isn't exactly like football but still. Would be cool for the future.

It's less about this being a video game and more about the fact that it is a simulation that has a lot of trouble performing simple tasks at times. That type of decision making is far too complicated for this sim as it is an on the fly set of decisions based on the defenses setup and their decisions.

That, and it kind of always becomes the best play.
If the QB can read to hand it to the FB up the middle if nobody is there, or run it outside if nobody is there, then what's the point of other running plays?
Defenses IRL can account and adjust for it, whereas the defense in GLB2 currently would just keep getting smoked and be none the wiser.

What if he makes the wrong read? He doesn't have toake the right read every time. Maybe have an attribute that affects reading the play correctly .
Sorry, "our Sim is just too shitty" just doesn't exactly sit well with me. But I get what you're saying . doesn't have to be today, but something to think about way down the line

i would just pump that attribute right up, pump speed and then im set. either my QB runs or my FB/HB runs.... i would just do it 100% of the time.

Agree with creating the option.
And yes, the QB will make the wrong reads at times. Also, just because the QB makes the right read, the plays can still blow up. The defender actually reads the QB too.
Check out the ROLB on this play. He is reading the QB.

Exactly, Yeah theres a bunch of ways to blow the play up. I think it would make creating a dual threat guy a LOT more interesting as well. But thats kind of the direction football is moving in right now anyways.
But either way, I understand that it would be something way down the line to be worked on at this point. Just something to consider.

On that play as soon as the ROLB recognises the option he has a "QB to pitch" assignment; he crosses the line of scrimmage and slows down positioning himself in front of the QB forcing the QB to make the pitch. Once the pitch is made the ROLB then goes after the pitch man. The CB is responsible for covering the pitch man from the outside and the LILB covers the dive man (watch the QB fake the handoff to the FB who runs across the LOS and gets hit by the LILB). This is how most teams defend the option; players have secondary assignments so that if the offense runs an option all their options are covered.
