What is the state of the Eris League?
The Direwolves put up impressive numbers today against a team with an inactive owner and whose coaching spots are all vacant. Of course, the Direwolves haven't stooped as low as Jon Huntsman who seems to be only capable of beating himself, much like in his romantic life.
The Charlestown Chiefs will have a tough time improving against the Direwolves in the next match up. Looking at the Chiefs' overall ratings it seems like the team owners' have Nancy Kerrigan'ed their kickers. A 19 kicking score at this point in this season? Unbelievable. Jon Huntsman can kick the ball farther than that.
Perhaps the Chiefs could take a page from the Lincoln City Red Imps whose top threats includes their kicker with 11 field goals made. The Imps are taking their mediocre 4-3 record against the equally mediocre 3-4 record of the Lakewood Tigers, which should not to be confused with the Versailles Tigers, or the Jacksonville Tigers, WHO ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, WE SWEAR. Most of the Tigers are playing inactive teams next week, which should allow Jon Huntsman to continue with his undefeated streak against teams that are him or who don't care.
The only interesting matchup of the coming week is Ntembo against Dark Lounge. It appears that Ntembo is a Vietnamese-Equitoreal Guinean fusion restaurant in Manhattan masquerading as a football team. The Dark Lounge is still smarting after their loss to the Direwolves and after 6,000 scrimmages still hasn't figured out how to stop a rushing offense or figure out why that 5th wide receiver just isn't covered. Both Ntembo and the Dark Lounge will be praying that the Chiefs can muster a rush defense as they face each other down pondering the cruelty that both teams want the Direwolves to fail but instead have to face each other.
Who will come out on top next week? Well, LaVernius Sassoon, defensive end for the Dark Lounge, has assured me that he will be on top of Jon Huntsman's mother. And that's the only sure bet.
