Warrior General Games

Well let the playoff run begin! We are at the home stretch of the season and what we have seen in the last couple weeks is incredible...our league is better than ever. This season is a ton more competitive than last! Cant wait to see what transpires over the next few weeks and whatever the outcome Im sure the playoffs are going to be fantastic!

1) Portland vs Twin City...Here we have Portland who has appeared as a player out of nowhere playing Providence tough and beating the Champion Iowa Rogues only to be handed a heavy butt kicking by Memphis. And we have Twin City who are a ladder game winning machine but struggle in league. Im going to go with Portland here and chalk up last weeks loss as a bad game, but consistency is Portland's nemesis goal right now.

2) Doof vs LLF...Doof is getting better but still just dont seem to be able to win even if they are suppose to. I have no confidence however in LLF. Doof wins by a little here. Cmon Doof...show me something!

3) Minnesota vs Iowa...GAME OF THE WEEK...Minnesota has been blowing good teams away with their new found passing attack and Iowa seems to have found their defense again. This is going to be quite the match up as the Stunners are going for broke and have several teams on their heels. Something tells me that Minnesota isnt just fighting for that wildcard spot...they want the Beta division to themselves. Iowa seems to have gotten past their slump with a big win over favorites Murder City last week but could be in for a long game if they dont stop TxSteve and gang early. Is it Minnesota with a morale death spiral, or Iowa's balanced attack that wins. Im going with the Stunners here, not sure what the answer is vs that high powered offense.

4) Providence vs GSD...A no brainer here...Providence is a power house and GSD, although they play some people tough, just dont have the defense to stop the Radicals. Pariah and his MVP candidate of a QB have something for the Steel Dawgs.

5) Memphis vs Murder City...Memphis definitely has earned some credit last game vs Portland, however, they are about to run the gauntlet. Memphis wants to be one of the best and they are going to have to prove it over the next few games. Jamz is looking to rebound over the only league loss they have this season. Im looking to see if he pushes the panic button like I did or sticks with his strategies that have been leading his impressive charge all season. I think Murder City puts Memphis in their place but it would not surprise me if the Maniax play this one tough.

6) South End vs Reno...South End was rolling and then put in place by Providence last game losing 34-0. I thought South End was showing they were worth it as a playoff contender. Well Robbie and Viper are going to have to show me a lot through this last stretch of league games and not sure they have enough in the tank to catch the other contenders. However, Reno is reeling and suffered a tough loss vs the high flying Stunners. So which team rebounds this week? Answer...The Revenge.

No matter the tactics / the players / the playbook / the strategy - the dice always come into play (as you and I both know from our attempts to predict games!)

All I can say right now is the last time we met...you absolutely destroyed us in the championship game 37-3. The game was basically over already before the first quarter was even half over.

We have our fingers crossed over here -- and the coaches have been burning the midnight oil -- in the hopes that you don't embarrass us again. That's all I have to say about that.

I'm looking forward to it though! And I did speak the truth - we need this win a heck of a lot more than you need it.
