First off, I would just like to say:

I've got 8 out of the top 9 teams belonging to the East... Good job, GLB!

I'll update these at least once every 4 games, perhaps a little more often.

Here are my top 25 heading into our National Minors season: (projected regular season record in italics)

1. Morning Glory (16-0)
Is there really any question? Lexden and his crew have been Kings of this age group for the past 80 days. In the past two seasons, they've earned two GOLD trophies. Toss in two Growl tourney championships and two TOC championships as well. They've stumbled a bit in the GLB Tournament, but they're riding a VERY impressive 40 game winning streak into season 40. They are w/o a doubt, the team to beat this season. It's not too long ago that I thought Ljubljana would never lose a game - and I'm beginning to feel that way about MG. We'll see, I guess.

2. Bastard Sons of Westeros (15-1)
The GLB Tournament has been owned by one team the past two seasons - the Bastard Sons of Westeros. BSW has won at least 18 games EVERY season since it's creation. They are far and away the highest effective level team, so they aren't going to go down w/o a very good game plan (see Kaos' Silver trophy game). Should be a good matchup between them and the Glory this season.

3. Controlled Kaos (14-2)
They have proven to everyone (and more importantly to themselves) that they can beat BSW. However, they are thrown into a monster conference this season where they won't be able to escape any of the top teams. They've got a good group of coords and should be in the mix for hardware this season.

4. Dark Phoenix (12-4)
They've got the 26th highest EL, but you can't argue w/ their success over the past two seasons. They won 15 games in Elite last season and also finished runner-up in the TOC tournament this past season. They've got an impressive trophy case and an impressive team.

5. SCM Farm (15-1)
My lone team from the West in the top 9, SCM is my favorite to win that conference. There are 2-3 other teams that could challenge them, but SCM is a solid all-around team. They've got the 3rd highest EL in Nat'l Minors. Their trophy case is bare, but I expect a silver s40 trophy to be in there in about 40 days.

6. OKC Resevoir Dogs (11-5)
In S38, they won league #2 w/ a 20-0 record. Success carried over to Elite last season as they won 16 games. They'll be fighting for a home playoff game this season. I think the top 5 teams have cemented themselves there, and OKC is just a hair off from being considered "top tier". This season will be a telling one for them.

7. Nomad Nation (11-5)
They've just went about their business the past 3 seasons. Like OKC, they would love to host a playoff game this season in the East. This is a pretty high ranking for Nomad, but they're a very solid team. They've been ranked as low around 20 in the past - and I think #7 might be their highest to date. Could be a sleeper team.

8. Ljubljana SuperStar AlpDevils (10-6)
I suppose you could say they had a "down season" in S39 after getting only 10 wins. I'm really not sure what to make of their 10-7 record. You know CA isn't going to fade away quietly, so a rebound season could be in store.

9. Rokkie Team (9-7)
With the 5th highest EL, they will be expected to make the playoffs this season. I'll repeat myself again, but the East is going to be brutal. There are going to be 1-2 very good teams not making the playoffs from the east. Rokkie doesn't plan on missing out on the playoff-party this season.

10. Legacy's Huntington Beach Surf (14-2)
Slow and steady wins the race, right? Win totals of 12, 11, 11, and 10 since Rookie. Being in the West, I expect them to surpass those win totals this season and finish with 14 or so wins. They've also got a strong shot and getting a silver trophy depending how well they can match up against SCM.
