Texas City Stings 7 - 0 Orlando Crushers
- Texas City devastated Orlando's playoff chances with this win. They're now 2 back in the wildcard race. This game was actually pretty ridiculous. Both teams were displaying solid defense and fairly poor offense for 4 full quarters. I take that back, all but 6 seconds. At the VERY END OF THE GAME, with 6 seconds left, Texas City does this:

And that's the ball game. Air Force 1 connects with Michael Gee who makes a good move to beat 1 on 1 coverage, and takes it 58 yards to the house to win the game. Orlando coaches *facepalm* repeatedly in post game interviews.
Air Raid 24 - 9 Detroit Revelers
- Air Raid looked mortal. Detroit had just enough to keep this one interesting into the 4th quarter. It certainly wasn't Air Raid's best offensive performance, and they were held below 500 yards of offense. 3 turnovers fueled Detroit, and they were able to get just enough running the ball and passing efficiently to keep a number of drives alive longer than many might have expected. This outing should give pretty good hope to the other playoff contenders that Air Raid can be beaten. Bako Tako led the way on offense with a TD and 71 yards on 6 catches, while Dante Dennis provided his typical pass pressure and snagged 2.5 sacks.
Philadelphia Firefighters 29 - 0 Fayetteville Tarheels
- Sounds like a broken record. Philly's defense crushes another offense. 121 yards is miserable for the Tarheels. 16 sacks will do that to ya. On the flipside, Philly had a very nice offensive game at 411 yards of their own, powered by QB Chief 1's 389 yards passing. The broadcasters on GLBSN have already started hyping the upcoming Philly vs Air Raid game as Ceres League's "Game of the Century". With Air Raid looking vulnerable this week, and Philly stepping it up a notch, Vegas betting really started amping up.
Santa Fe Thunder 20 - 14 Asau Pirates
- Asau is running out of winnable game opportunities. Arguably the best game of the week. Jaher Bawmb (I see what you did there) led the way on offense for the Thunder, catching 3 balls for 74.5 yards and a touchdown. Meyer Beaver and Ezra Reid combined for 9 sacks to shutdown Asau's ambitions. Santa Fe's kicker provided the difference, with 2 made 30yd+ field goals.
Atlantic Tridents 21 - 0 Sacramento Billy Goats
- Atlantic continues to set the pace in the Gamma Division. They shutdown Sacramento, and were balanced on offense as usual. At this point Hudson Messer is making a huge case for defensive MVP. Another 6.5 sacks. Seems like I've said this guys name alot in these reviews.
LUElinks LUEshis 10 - 7 DEFCON 1
- The most important game of the week. DEFCON couldn't get anything going on offense. LUElinks jumped out to a 10 - 0 halftime lead, and then hung on to take control of the wildcard race, and also keep pace with Atlantic for the division. Bill Dozer did the hard work, churning out 74 yards and a TD for LUE LUE, which helped them to dominate the Time of possession and just really not give DEFCON a chance to get anything going. Here I come led the defense with 3 sacks, as they simply stuffed DEFCON's attempts to get back into the game. Big win for LUElinks.
Power Rankings
1. Air Raid - was mortal last week. Even still, can anyone score 24 points against this team?
2. Philadelphia Firefighters - this defense needs a nickname.
3. Atlantic Tridents - may be able to open up some distance on LUElinks this next week.
4. LUElinks LUEshis - because LUElinks is tasked with stopping Air Raid.
5. DEFCON 1 - the Philly game might not be a "must win", but it sure does feel like it.
------- Playoff Contention Line -------
6. Orlando Crushers - losing to Texas City really hurts. I think it ends the flirtation with playoff eligibility.
