are rookie teams still playing sopho teams?
i had hoped they were getting rid of this

ELO is pretty meaningless if entire sections of teams never play entire other sections of teams.

I'd argue that it actually doesn't happen enough since Bort made teams favor their own tier, it just artificially inflates top end rookie teams since they play each other rather than comparably ranked sophomore teams.

After seeing some results this season, I might argue that top end rookie teams could beat comparably ranked sophomore teams at this point of the season.

Probably.

But currently, the top end rookie teams are bypassing them, then you're having midrange rookie teams playing them instead.
