if the owner is actually designated as "inactive" the cpu will set the depth. if the owner logs in but doesnt set the depth try to get him to give you gm so you can do it yourself.
Well you can't have inactive owners who are screwing players who want to play. The object of the game for players is playing time. GLB needs to get there priorities straight - are you going to be worried about an inactive owner who doesn't spend money and doesn't want to play the game; or are you going to take care of the active players who do spend money and want to play the game!

This isn't like GLB1 where it was XP for Plays, if your on a team you get SP, simple as that. Sure it sucks you don't get stats and such but at least you don't suffer in development like GLB1 did. There are worse things, in addition since there are not multi season contracts your not stuck on the team for long term. Your free to leave at the end of the season.
Granted I still agree its not fair, but they have introduced things to prevent long term issues.
If the owner has the 'inactive' tag next to their name, you can write in to Support to get released from the team. If you're a GM, let us know if you want to take over the team. If you're an owner... try not to go inactive.

Its also important to note, activity on GLB Classic <> activity on GLB2. Perhaps a quick PM to the inactive owner (if they're actively playing Classic) could clear things up.
