It would be cool to have a team tactic for the tempo of the offense, with penalties and bonuses to conditioning and awareness. It could be a drop-down menu just above the QB blocking audibles in the O tactics. Something like -

Offensive Tempo

"Hurry Up"...-2% stamina/+2% Pass/Carry Awareness (Minimum time between plays)

"Methodical"...No Bonuses/Penalties (Timing stays as it is...full on lulz mode)

"Clock Control"...+2% Stamina/-2% Pass/Carry Awareness (Take as much time between plays as the play clock will allow)

If the defense has more time to prepare for your personnel then there should be a penalty to the offenses awareness skills, or a bonus to defense's awareness...and vice versa.

So the all pass teams will use clock control and everyone will rage more?

Then make it a larger bonus/penalty. +/-5% or even 10%. I just want to see the clock used more efficiently, especially when your team is down late in the 3rd Quarter and there is still 40+ seconds between plays.

This probably isn't a small thing to change code wise tbh.

If it were implemented, I'd be hurry up for sure. Our team strategy is to gas CB's as it is. Give me the option to reduce their recovery time between plays and further increase the total play count? Done.

I see what you're saying, but I see this more as an exploit than a tactic...

If teams really wanted more TOP they would run more and rely more on short passes and moving the chains.

The way it is now, teams usually are looking for whatever chunk of the field they can get at a time, rarely caring about the 1st down except in short yardage situations.
