Now dont get mad if I dont include your team in here, or place you lower than you think you are. Its just my view of things, taking into consideration who beat who and win streaks, Ladder games, etc...

#1. Falkirk Wheelies (4-1 League)(2-2 Ladder)
The Wheelies to me are still the cream of the crop, yes they had a little setback vs the Thunder but got right back on the horse with a win vs the Heroes. The anchor on defense, Praying Mantis, says their defense is just getting warmed up. This could mean trouble for many opponents.

#2. Mrakos Thunder (3-2 League) (3-0-1 Ladder)
A surprise! Indeed, this team started 0-2-1, amidst management and coaching issues, they quickly found the right people and started pulling off wins, 2 statement wins vs Porto Mutts and Falkrirk Wheelies injected this team into the #2 spot. Riding a 6 game winning streak does wonders for your confidence and the Thunder are reaping its rewards.

#3. Porto Mutts (4-1 League) (2-2 Ladder)
Although they are 4-1 in League play, which is great, they havent played any of the big teams yet and thats about to change, 3 of their next 4 League games are vs top clubs (Bishops, Heroes, Wheelies). Their 1 loss came at the hands of the surging Thunder.

#4. Marvel Heroes (3-2 League) (2-2 Ladder)
Always a threat, with leading MVP QB Iceman Drake, this team can go off on any night and on any team. Inconsistency as of late has put them in the 4th spot, where as they should be higher, we just dont know which team will show up. An amazing offense hampered by a struggling defense. They have a chance to redeem themselves in the next few games vs teams like Mutts and Bishops.

#5. Asbury Park Blue Bishops (4-1 League) (1-2-1 Ladder)
Led by their duo of DE's, this team has beaten the opponents it should have beaten, their only stutter was a loss to the Wheelies. A solid run game backed up by a tremdous defense and its a recipe for success. The only other fault is they havent played any top teams other than the Wheelies, so a huge test coming up for the Blue Bishops and a chance to move up the rankings.

#6. Alpha Quandrant II (3-1-1 League) (0-4 Ladder)
An enigma...Their crowing moment was a 10-9 win over Beta division rival Marvel Heroes, yet they tie and lose vs weaker teams(Towers & Vaders). The next few games will be a good chance for Quandrant II to pad their lead in the Beta division as they face a couple of weaker teams, apart from the Wheelies. It will be crucial for them to get as many wins as possible before the stretch run as they face Bishops, Mutts, Thunder and Heroes to close out the season.

To be continued...

Thanks for the positives on the wheelies, and for the great divisional write up! Being a scot I'd rather be the underdog.... Credit needs to go to Palewolf for creating a D line that aims to get in your face.

Either way I think there are a number of outstanding teams, so best of luck to you all!

Cheers

Alpha is an enigma to us as well.

We lose every ladder game but then show up for the divisional games.

We do not understand it -- but prefer it over the other option.

Guys we miss the power rankings. They add a lot to the game. Unless Mrakos want to continue I suggest that each GM take a turn in doing a summary. To kick start this, Palewolf (Falkirk Wheelies GM) will write the next league rankings.

Cheers

Tongue in cheek.

Riding High

Falkirk Wheelies
Based: Scotland
Form: Wheely good
Factoid:
The Falkirk Wheel is a rotating boat lift in Scotland, connecting the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. Named after the nearby town of Falkirk in central Scotland. The Falkirk Wheel is the only rotating boat lift of its kind in the world - Beat that!
Player to watch: Praying Mantis: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/team/419
Sacks are a poor measure of footballing success..
Prediction: Rolling into the playoffs

Mrakos Thunder
Based: Dunno, sounds like a Greek resort where the English get pished.
Form: Thundering
The form team rolling into the second half of the season. Top tip from the Wheelies: Don't play C4 zone against these dudes!
Player to watch: Reggie Whitehawk http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/38862
Slow down! Mantis want MVP!
Prediction: Deafening all into the Championship game

Marvel Heroes
Based: Comics
Form: Kapow
Posting some of the highest scores this season the Heroes have doled out serious justice this season but some tight losses suggest like all proper heroes they have their Kryptonite.
Player to watch: Bobby 'Iceman' Drake http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/44560
Leading the Offensive MVP race this guy is no maverick.
Prediction: Heroic effort into Championships

Porto Mutts
Base: Portugal
Form: Dastardly
The Mutts are throwing up sticks and catching them. Think dogs catching frisbees, this team goes aerial.
Player to watch: Smooth McKenzie http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/37981
This guy is the red zone threat.
Prediction: Gnawing away at the playoffs

In the mix

Asbury Blue Bishops
Based: Google says Kentucky
Form: Fiddly
Using diagonals Asbury rush more than most in the league but some tough results have stopped them going straight forward.
Player to watch: Jalyn Holmes II http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/41802
I seriously doubt there are two people in the world who have ever consecutively been called Jalyn..
Prediction: Divine intervention in playoffs

Alpha Quadrant II
Based: Where no man has gone before
Form: The guy in the red shirt with a bit of Kirk magic
The space team have produced some galactic upsets but have trouble with ties.
Player to watch: Cornerback Killer: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/43785
(No actual kills)
Prediction: Lost in a nebula

Coruscant Vaders
Based: A galaxy far, far away
Form: Greedo should have shot first

A long time ago....

The rebellion destroyed the death star and caused 6 losses...

But the empire struck back...

With some wins.

Player to watch: Zac Dean http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/25869
Only 2 DEs, both with twin sabres.
Prediction: Never underestimate the power of the dark side, until the playoffs

Zionist Destroyers
Based: Far right of somewhere
Form: Isolated success
A series of reverses sees the Destroyers moving out of the mainstream playoff picture but still in with a shout of bringing down the establishment
Player to watch: Seth Salinas http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/1528
Leading all WRs in the league for yards.
Prediction: Revolution, next season

Chasing the pack

Baltimore Giants
Based: Maryland
Form: Swampy
Baltimore look like a one man show, although they're all related but skint. A bad recent run means the need to get someone else on the roster.
Player to watch: Got me
Prediction: Get some, next season

Tampa Towers
Based: Florida
Form: Better than the 76/77 editions.
This is the ENCOM Tower run by CPUs but it's rising. 3 wins on the trot. Next game up is the Heroes who usually like to hang out on tall buildings.
Player to watch: Kacey Rowland http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/4051
Watching CPUs do this well makes you feel crap
Prediction: One day the CPUs will rule us all

Dirty South Wrecking Crew

Based: Down South
Form: Going South
A bad run of form has produced a car crash of a season but there's still games left to wreck a few team's seasons.
Player to watch:Chey Akita http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/34929
This QB has a good leg.

Vallejo Admirals
Based: California (but I have to admit until I googled it I thought this was the dude in team picture's surname)
Form: Sunk
Vallejo remain looking for the sunken treasure of a second league win.
Player to watch: Quan Sanders http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/45569
Interception! http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/16235/1162488?player_id=45569
Prediction: Rising from the depths next season

Gl to all teams,
