When you're ready to move your farm team onto the main team. Are we just eating a season of terribad chemistry and losing our ladder position every 4 seasons as some sort of simulation of how a team rebuilds?

Since there aren't really Pro leagues, I'd think that at that point, you reset the "old" team to rookie and use the farm as your new main team.

Won't that break up leagues and rivalries though? I agree that's the best option from having maximum competitive veteran seasons for your players though. Not to mention the loss of any elo positioning acquired.

Well since the whole league hits the plateau together, I'm sure you could request to stick most, if not all, of the teams together in a new league.
And the ELO loss should happen - next generation may not be as good, so you should start clean.

The long term top teams will find a way to move in vets in such a way that they maintain their ladder positions. Also teams like DD this season had a significant number of new toons with low chem but have been managing fine.
Doesn't seem like it will be too hard to have a quarter of your team retiring each season.

Also called the coward way of doing things.
Hopefully people will stick with their teams and try to be competitive long term.

Well, we have no idea what league structure will look like at Vet level yet, and I'm not sure that they've decided. Presumably there will be some reason to keep a team around long term.
My first guess would be that people would do what they did when GLB1 started having teams turnover; either they'll reset the team completely and start over, or they'll move new players onto the existing team in waves to avoid the chem hit. Since chem is per player now instead of teamwide it'll be a little different, but same philosophy I guess. Some teams will use high contracts on the new players to raise their chem fast, etc etc.
We'll see more when we get to Vet and see what the leagues end up like.
