Is their a tactic or something that makes HBs try to cut back inside, or is game coded to hit the sideline then turn upfield on every outside run..?
Forum > FAQ's, Player Guides and Game Help > Do any HBs try to make cutbacks instead of sprinting to the sidelines?

is this serious?
Well I would expect carrying awareness to resolve some issue of cut backs. But as far as when you see players run near the sidelines and out of bounds, I am pretty sure that has to do with toughness or power ability.

Interesting, toughness makes the joe act differently?
Whole time i thought it was just to decrease morale and energy loss

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/20193 It's possible they might still be too low but, I don't know if that is what keeps him from running up the field faster or not.

Toughness is how you take a hit. There are probably other related attributes too but pretty sure that is one of them.

So on some players with very high speed are you encouraged to keep toughness low?

Pretty sure corndog or Bort said that the tooltips aren't all inclusive on what skills do. Stands to reason that there's some toughness/intimidation counterplay on stuff like this.

I feel like both of these are kind of right.. A ball carrier with low morale would attempt to avoid most contact in fear of fumbling and having less of a chance to break the tackle
