We've got an active forum - and a good league. I thought it might be fun to be watching our ladder games as well. I'm not certain I'll be able to do this often - but throwing it out now. If anyone else wants to take a shot - it is yours!

I'm ranking these by league position - not by ladder position.

#1 Team in Gator: Providence Radicals (44) vs Portland Cardinals (41)
Providence is undefeated in league play - and just beat Iowa - they are clearly on a roll and the best team in the league at the moment. They've also won 7 meaningful games in a row. Portland is 3-4 in their last 7...including 2 ladder losses.

Providence stays hot - and probably wins by 20

#2 Team in Gator: Murder City Devils (36) vs Philadelphia Devils (45)
MCD is 4-0 in league and 7-0 on the season. They've been absolutely blowing teams out; winning by 18 points per game (on average). Has it been an easy schedule...or is this team a juggernaut? We will see. Jamz is trying to pretend he doesn't care by posting stuff in the forums about how he just uses a throw away offense...isn't really trying...and is just riding the backs of his players (humility is a good thing)... As for this game: As for this game - a "Murder City" Devil vs a "City of Brotherly Love" Devil will result in a victory for Murder City every time. The Devils from Philly will be trying to play nice...and Murder City will be bringing an unannounced shiv to the crotch..

Murder City by 12

#3 Team in Gator: Iowa Rogues (18) vs Mongolian Horde (26)
Iowa is probably the single most talked about team in the game right now. All of this attention has likely been unwanted though - as I'm guessing it has put a target on Iowa's back the size of Shanghai. Their recent league loss was their first in weeks (months?) and they've also had some tough losses in some "off the books" tournament games. Riddler is a competitive guy though - and I expect those losses have him with his nose in front of the computer screen for unhealthy lengths of time. Mongolian is 6-1 with a recent loss in the ladder to Monmouth. I think Iowa's confidence is shaken....I think Mongolian will be smelling blood like a shark in the water...

But Iowa comes out on top - winning by 6

#4 team in Gator: Minnesota Stunners (74) vs Texas Titans (72)
Historically - Minnesota has sucked balls in ladder games. In season 1 we were 11-5. This season we are 2-1. One of the advantages of losing your ladder games - is that you get to play worse teams! The Titans are also 2-1 this season in the ladder. Minnesota has either been playing well lately...or has been playing bad teams lately - in any case:

Minnesota by 10

Filling in the league after that:

Reno Renegades (135) vs Reno Gamblers (130) - a battle for the very streets of Reno! A renegade is going to whip a sissy gambler every day of the week and twice on sunday (plus the Renegades are playing decent ball lately)
- Renegades by 9

Long Live the Fighters (146) vs Wisconsin Wilderness (156)- a team with a ghost at the helm...vs a team that hasn't been very good. Because I'm a team owner - I probably tend to over-value the importance of an owner...call me Jerry Jones if you will...but no adjustments...a probable wacky depth chart - no tactics...
- Wilderness by 7

Twin City Shockers (230) vs Sacramento Spartans (228) - both 1-6
- Twin City by 4

Memphis Maniax (98) vs French Connection 2 (100) - I'm not sure what has changed for Memphis this season (or maybe I just didn't follow things very well last season) but they are playing some good stinking football. They are 5-2 on the season and both of their losses were within 1 score. They are 3-0 in ladder games this year. Did they upgrade their player builds? Figure some things out on O/D? I don't know - but I know they are way better than their 98 ranking. Also - never piss off a whore...it could be very dangerous.
- Maniax by 5

Doof (I can't spell your name and don't want to look) (114) vs Booty Bay Pirates (118)
Boy has Doof had it rough this season. 0-4 in league play. 2-1 in ladders. They are better than that...but they sure aren't playing like it. I don't see any way they can lose to Booty Bay though. Not gonna happen.
- Doof by 2

Portland Niners (110) vs Canton Bull Dogs (113) - Niners have been a bit of a mystery in league play this season. In their 5 losses - they've scored 3 or 0 points...in their 2 wins: 17/24. Which Niners team will show up today? I think their challenged O does enough against the practically disabled D of the Bull Dogs.
Niners by 8

South End Revenge (84) vs River City Ransom (76) - a 4-3 team vs a 5-2 team. South End is on a 3 game winning streak. River City is on a 3 game losing streak. They both get to 4.
- Revenge by 7

Grey SteelDawgs (152) vs Tasmanian Devils (144) - Something tells me this game will not be a sell out.
- Steeldawgs are somehow able to must a touchdown AND a field goal to win 10-3 (by 7).

YES, I am picking our league to go 11-1 in ladder games. Do not let me down. My apologies to LFF who are my only selection to lose. I won't surprise me at all if you beat us in league play in a few days to pay me back!

Currently, our average Ladder Rank in this league is 103. Let's fix that.

I am kind of trying, I did ask Boss to move the fg range up to 40 so we'd stop punting from the 30 yard line.

Also I tried to get bhall to OC but he shunned my affections.

Thanks for doing these Steve. Boss may be convinced to GP some if our luck continues and we make da playawfs.

good work. Whatever tactics that the LLF owner left works. I had to score 16 in 4th Q to win by 1. They do have 2 kickers, and 4 O lineman though, so its very strange they can compete so well.

Spot on with your analysis with myself and my team...cant get away from figuring this out...not sure what happened in one night but things for the Iowa Rogues are a bit out of sort!

I wanna say I have been playing this game for 22 days now. Your posts and analysis right wrong or indifferent make it so much more enjoyable. I'm hoping to be competing with some of you bigger dogs soon.

First game in the books. As predicted the Renegades romp the Gamblers by 14.

Does that mean I missed the spread - or made the spread? I'm not sure how that works.

I'm 1-0 - Nice job Reno.

Usually if I hit it on the nose I count it as hitting the spread...in Vegas you lose...but here youre a genius!

You are creating the spread so generally you wouldn't bet.... we would all bet though.

Nice game Riddler.

I'm 2 and 0 (in terms of picking the winner)

Next game up: Murder City (currently in progress I think)
