When offseason respecs become available at the end of season 2, will we be able to fully respec our sophomore players, or only reassign the points we earned in season 2?

It has been said its only the current season, but it seems like its more than that...

I would have hoped someone clears that up

Been looking around but haven't found anything but this thread so far. Where is the 'book' on respecs?

I don't know if there is one yet. I'm going to try a respec at the end of the season. I'll post about it at some point

You get all your points back, and all your AP points. No one will pay 500 or 1000 FP later in their career (which is the price AFTER your on and only free respec) to change 1 or 2 points.

I think you're wrong, as it was stated explicitly that the devs didn't want people to be able to change their whole build on a whim, late in their career. Now, if only I could find that post...

I gotta say I was under the impression it was a full respec. Just think how can they charge you 500 flex later on just to redo 1 seasons SP. And I think it's full because it's for ability points as well. So in season 3 we only get 1 AP back? Doesn't sound right to me.

Hmmm it does say this too:

This process will remove some of your player's spent skill and ability points, allowing you to respend them. You may only do this up to three times in the player's life, and the cost increases for each respec, so be sure to spend your points wisely!

Some of your point's? Now I don't know!

The latter.

More correctly, whatever your build was when you first gained XP in your newest tier.

That's fucking lame. So in season 3 or 4 when we want to respec, you'll get back 1 AP and be able to change a few SP. That doesn't make sense. Especially when some attributes cost so much by then. Hell, I already have some that are over 1k just for 1 SP.

That's not something I'm going to be wasting my 500 flex on.

A respec is meant to allow a user to correct a build mistake, not reshape a build. That's why respecs don't allow changes to attributes or traits.

Personally, season 1 is the time where a respec makes the most sense. Of course, as more information becomes available even rookie respecs will likely become less common.

Imagine this scenario, though. You're building a WR and you intend to push Sprinting to 100. You notice there isn't much change in production between 95 and 100 (points all spent in one season) and decide you'd rather get all those Sprinting points back and add more Conditioning and Receiving skills. In that case, the 500 flex could be worth it (assuming you had done a respec earlier).

I understand what your saying. Maybe it should be documented then? I was under the impression it was a full respec. So now I'm screwed on a few of my players because I already used a respec. Of course I had to because I wasn't able to test and have a better idea of where my points needed to be. And on top of that 500 flex is way too much!

Testing was a huge advantage. I wonder how many of the testers used a repec already.
