Seems like the matchups are getting better every week. This week we have two undefeated teams going at it that will answer alot of questions about the much improved Providence team. Looking forward to seeing how this week plays out.

Last Week:
Straight up: 4-2
Vs Spread: 3-3

Season Total:
Straight up: 13-5
Vs Spread: 9-9

1) Portland vs Minnesota: Both teams are 2-1 and Portland is coming off a disappointing and rather big loss to Murder City while Minnesota kept it close with the Radicals. I think this one is low scoring and close with Minnesota pulling it out with a FG. This is my UPSET WATCH GAME OF THE WEEK...meaning I think Portland could pull off the upset but I dont have the balls to call it

Minnesota by 3

2) Iowa vs Providence: GAME OF THE WEEK. Providence is looking terrific and looking to make a statement. Someone needs to step up and be able to challenge the reigning champions. Iowa is looking unbeatable with a balanced offense and stingy defense. So can Providence bring down the mighty Goliath. Not this week.

Iowa by 12

3) Reno vs GSD: Not sure whats going on with the Steel Dawgs as they seem very non-committed this season. I think this is a game that Reno needs to keep pace for the wildcard. Reno's talent shines here building some momentum. Im predicting a fast lead for Reno and GSD just isnt able to catch up.

Reno by 11

4) LLF vs Memphis: Tricky game here as LLF's roster is improving, I say it every week but you can see how they have improved since the start of Season 2. Both teams won squeakers last week. Im picking LLF this week but not by much. We should see some points scored in this game. But LLF squeaks out another.

LLF by 4

5) South End vs DEI: Another Tricky game to call but I think the Revenge are pulling it together. This one could go either way but Im going with my gut here with DEI winning a close one.

DEI by 3

6) Twin City vs Murder City: Murder City is on a roll and Twin City is still in the improving stage...not quite there to compete with the hard hitting Murder City team. Murder City remains undefeated.

Murder City by 21

Results:
Straight up: 3-3
Vs Spread: 2-4
Good Luck everyone!

That was the toughest game to call...and no disrespect to you...I like your team, could have easily picked you guys and not blinked. I think LLF has some pretty active players and this is their week to prove to the league that they are a playoff contender.

But Im not going to be surprised if im wrong on this game. Prove me wrong...

Nice write up Rid.

I hate this matchup against you guys, that defense is scary and I don't see our team at the point ready to challenge you guys.

Although I do think it will be different come the end of the season, so hopefully we meet up in the playoffs!!!

Right now I think you guys run away with this one.

I hope you are right...I dont see us running away with anything and I absolutely agree that our teams will be alot closer at the end of the season. I think by the end of the season any one of the top 4 teams in this league can win the championship.

Thanks Riddler - I really enjoy these every week.

I sure hope we get a chance to prove you massively WRONG at some point this season

We are (of course) hoping to win - and (of course) hoping to win by more than 3 - but I definitely see where you're coming from. The Stunners have been a bit schizophrenic this season so far. We are like a box of chocolates - you (and we) never know what we're going to get!

(quick aside: total BS for your league champion tourney where the other team spent their points - huge flaw in the tourney design there...but what do you expect with that bozo Jampy!)

Rough week for him as a picker (this is all in fun as I love that you put yourself out there Riddler)

Minnesota by 3. Actually Minnesota by 40

Reno by 11. Actually Reno by 2

LLF by 4. Maniax by 1

DEI by 3. Revenge by 21

Murder City by 21. Murder City by 25

In our game - great example of a morale spiral...nothing went the niners way early...and they had morale under 10 before the 1st half was even over. From there - it was just ugly, ugly, ugly as we just had our way. They probably couldn't even see what was happening due to the thickness of their tears the morale was so bad...

I've been on the other end of that before (championship game being one example against Iowa) and it SUCKS

Goes to show you how much 3250 pts in each build can change a team...Providence just got way better and Iowa just got way worse. This league has some awesome talent.

And yeah I knew when I was picking this week that there was a chance that I would could get a few wrong...there were a few games I thought could got either way

It was only a matter of time until Providence started rolling, they were WL caliber in the Uno. Those guys know their stuff, hell I picked up Tatum's returner and he's made an impact immediately despite being a game behind on xp.

Tatum is on point. I'm starting to get some of this GLB2 ish down now, but he has been a huge help in building my squad.

Don't let him know I said this, I have to keep my distance. He has an unhealthy infatuation with me and I'm starting to get real creeped out by the PMs he sends me.

Morale is huge here. Although comebacks are possible, I have noticed when two good teams clash, if one gets off to a real strong start, it usually makes a big difference throughout.
