Sorry for the lack of rankings lately. I've been moving residences and have been without a computer for a while! My wife and I are closing on our house next week, or so that is what we are being told. BUT for now I have found access to a decent enough computer.
Please enjoy the post. I can't ensure that I will be able to get the game-to-game rankings back every single time, but I'll be sure to make them more regular. Also working on a nice big column that I think everyone will enjoy.
This ranking is loosely based on fact and largely based on opinion. Thanks for reading. Please post and comment!
1. All Pro Falcons (1) - A.I. had his first close game this week, but still came out on top with a 17-0 victory over Subversive. The Falcons still face Dotball, FGC, RR and Friendly City to finish out the regular season, but I don't see them losing more than one game. All Pro has been dominant all year and could very well be our overall #1 seed this year.
2. Fighting Gamecocks (2) - FGC has been rocking and rolling all year despite one very close game against Taz where they won by a TD. Jkid has had an impressive defense so far and LE has been putting out a really solid offense. This team has the potential to be our champion, but there are some solid teams in the East this year. Very excited for the FGC and All Pro game coming in a few weeks.
3. Epic Holiday (4) - Epic is a 3 point loss away from a perfect regular season in the West. Their only loss came to Crib who has not lost 2 games. Epic must still face East-West, SoA and OffTopica, but if they can win out it looks like they will be our top seed in the West.
4. Straight Cocks Homie (6) - Straight has looked great in recent weeks with victories over Crib and SBWL (before CPU). If it wasn't for that early loss to Epic, this team could be our top seed. Straight still must defeat East-West and SoA, but if they can do so we will have them as our #2 seed in the West.
5. Crib Midgets (3) - Crib had the unfortunate luck of facing All Pro in week one. You could argue that if he had a easier match-up in week 1, this could be your top seed in the West. Crib has played great all year, even beating the once undefeated Epic before getting beat pretty good by SCH. Crib is one of a few very dangerous teams in the West this year.
6. Subversive Education (5) - Subversive has lost two games, but both were to arguably the best teams in PWG. Subversive has a pretty easy road the rest of the way with only Columbia and Birdman standing in his way of a 2 loss season. Itsply will be your third seed in the East and a dangerous match-up for everyone.
7. Friendly City Psychopaths (10) - Friendly City has lost two games against FGC and Subversive, both good teams, but the biggest area of concern is that they still have not played Taz or All Pro. Friendly City has impressed with victories over Dotball and RR, and is a better team than I had anticipated. I'm still holding out on saying this team is an elite contender, but this is a pretty salty team worthy of respect.
8. TazVikes Nordica (NR) - Taz has lost to All Pro, Subversive and FGC but is still up there with 9 wins. Taz must face Friendly City, but outside of that, this team will not lose another game. I believe that Taz will defeat Friendly City, but that will be a pretty good game. I am still expecting this team to step up their game come playoffs.
9. Chicago 85' Bears (8) - Gerr's Bears are the TazVikes of the West this year. He is a solid team and very dangerous come playoffs, but hasn't been able to beat the top 3 in the division. Gerr will finish 13-3, but it isn't a strong 13-3. Gerr has had some close games this year and has seemed less dominant this year than in the past few.
10. Sons of Anarchy (NR) - SoA has lost a few good games and tied with SBWL (before CPU), but my concern is the upcoming schedule. SoA has frankly had a bit of an easier schedule early and must face a brutal stretch to finish the year. Up this week is OffTopica, then Jonesboro followed by Epic and Straight. I could see SoA as a 10-12 win team depending on how they finish out the year.
