Warrior General Games

It's my pleasure to announce (Thunderoo's) Top Ten Tournament. There is currently a lack of meaningful top tier games to watch in GLB 2. To fill this void I've selected what in my opinion are the top 10 teams in the game and given them a meager prize to scrap over. Expect daily games, writeups and recaps with hopefully a few rivalries strengthened along the way!

Ladder positions were not used, instead teams were decided by running all the games played as of the 4th of Feb through an Elo rating system with every team starting at 1200 and teams being reset to 1200 if they dropped to rookie.

Format will be a double round robin stage with two groups of 5 with the top team teams from each group advancing to the semi finals. There will be two games scheduled for each day though this may change slightly if needed.

This is Thunderoo's top 10, not the ladder top 10. The rankings are slightly different. Iowa is #15 in ladder but #3 in Thunderoo's. Queen City (#9 in ladder) was bumped to make room for Iowa and SF got the nod between the two teams at #10.

Just my opinion, but Iowa Rogues at #3 is CRAZY. They are a decent team, but nothing compared to the others...just my opinion, hate me if you want. We played them VERY well, only lost on a Special Teams fumble TD, yet we would be DESTROYED by almost every other team listed here. Anyway, wait and see...Rogues won't do well in this group, imho, could have had a better choice. Will be fun to watch though, GL to all the teams here.

Thanks for the props lol. I actually agree with you...My team is definitely not worthy of a #3 ranking. However, that being said, it doesnt mean that just because you played us well once that we wouldnt beat you significantly in another game...or even that you would not beat us significantly in another game...every game played is different. For example, my team actually took Djibouti into OT in a game, but in no way is that one game indicative of how our teams matchup.

Anyway you are right...my team probably wont do well in this tournament but Im flattered to be included and that my record of only 2 losses as an owner is being noticed. Im not going to turn down the invitation to the tourney.

Read worse than I meant it...wasn't trying to knock your team, even though it sounded that way...didn't realize you took DD into OT...that's impressive...I likely am overreacting on it...just seems like our team would get killed every time we played anyone else on that list...either way, was less of a knock on you...even though it didn't seem that way.

No its cool, I didnt take offense...actually you are right...I usually do get killed whenever I scrimmage one of the top 10 teams
