as an OC i want to be able to keep my TE or FB back to block rather than go out on his route. Every play has 5 route options other than allowing the QB to audible to keep one of them back is there anyway to make sure the TE/FB stays back?

Broken, currently only happens sometimes if you have high pocket awareness and the defense blitzes 6+.
Should definitely be an adaptable scenario for the offense - QB holds in one or two random TE/FB/HB to block based on pocket awareness and how often defense has been blitzing. But should also be decided before the play so that the extra blockers get held back even if the defense doesn't happen to blitz that play.

Nope. Give your TE some Rec skills, don't throw out of that formation, or try to pick plays where the TE is the last player in the chekdown and hope that if/when he gets thrown to, he makes the catch.
My BTE has a surprising number of catches for having only 20 in Rec Hands, but even then it is only 1 in 3 catches.
