When do the ladder game schedules come out? Do I need to do anything with my team to opt into the ladder? I dont see any games on my team schedule besides my league games.

Ladder games get added the night before they're played.
They don't schedule them more than a day in advance so they'll be based off the most recent rankings.
They get scheduled automatically, so you don't need to do anything. There's 16 of them total throughout the regular season and playoffs.

GLB2 has set up a massive ranking system for all the teams in game, using the formula used in games like chess to rank people. Rankings here http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/rankings
Every team plays it's league games, has a day off, and then plays a team that is ranked similar to it in the ladders, and depending on results, you move up or down. It's like how college basketball teams use nonconferance games to pad their RPI.
The games give XP and count towards your record, but are not used to figure out playoff standing (that only uses league games)
