That would be pretty interesting at the end of each season.

I still don't understand your suggestion. What does making the bars reflect your statistics tell you about a team that the stats down the middle don't already?

As for the OP this idea is already in motion. Bort just has to finish the coding/upload the code for it. He said he probably wouldn't get around to doing it before the end of last season. Maybe this season?

It's literally just a percentage number (out of 99 instead of 100 since 100 would denote perfection) to reflect success...what's so hard to understand about that? Andre Johnson, a phenomenal receiver, likely wouldn't have the success he has on the Texans (in a healthy season, of course) that he would on the packers since they spread the ball out more, even though it's impossible to deny that he's an exceptionally talented wide receiver. I know it's super difficult to compare glb to madden but the latest madden bases players overalls on a players likeliness to succeed in your scheme, not actual player skill. My suggestions not all that different. I don't know what's so hard to understand about it, I'm sure just about everyone whose doing a pretty good job wouldn't mind a percentage number to reflect their success, even if it means nothing. If nothing else it gives guys who are putting up 100 yards a game on a sub .500 team to keep at it despite their lack of wins. It literally means nothing...except, in this case, pro bowl appearancea: if you're against it, it just means you don't like me personally, which is a good thing imo since you've never met me and have no idea what I'm like tbh

I.e. in madden I turned Cecil shorts, an average receiver in terms of talent, from a 75 overall into a 90 in a matter of a couple of seasons. His literal skills did not correlate with his success, but his "overall" increases dramatically because he fit will into my offense

One way or the other this threads not about my [perfectly sensible, although not to you since you don't like me] suggestion, it's about cvalentine, so please don't follow after your amigo jampy and start derailing threads because of your personal feelings

Saying what's the point in this is like saying what's the point in the hof....it's basically just hof over the course of a season for an individual team, except it is actually quantified by a number

Lol I don't understand any of the arguments against it, except for that 1. I made it up and 2. that it exposes people who piggyback off of winning teams

Well this thread can't be derailed as the idea is already in motion of being coded into the game.

But I just asked the question because the Overall ratings down the middle of the Matchup page already give you league rank based on your statistics and show the top player threats for your team. There aren't any personal player LOLbars in this game but it would make a ton more sense to check out their statistics when gameplanning than see 99 receiver rating.

Also the player ratings in madden are build based....

Choose a west coast playbook and draft, say, aj green and then choose a spread offense and choose aj green in the fantasy draft....you'll be surprised.

Secondly, if "team overalls" are so pointless, why would "player overalls" be more pointless? How could it possibly hurt? Why does the idea bother you so much

so essentially... the guys in madden have no clue what the fuck they're talking about?

AJ is great no matter the system.

You already have player ranks on their homepage. The team overall's aren't pointless. It really doesn't bother me at all. It just is kinda redundant.

I didn't take it as a pot shot. I put a "?" because the idea that a silly little overall "exposes" someone who is piggybacking success is completely stupid.
