So, I want to see if I understand correctly. Once we reach Level 25, our players get one whole season at the top level. At that point, we either have to purchase boosts, play in a "Legends League" or retire the player? I could see the Legends League being a cool option if it wasn't CPU-ran teams. I guess I can understand the logic in that, though. Why make those leagues too fun, since that's more Flex the player will be spending?

Do we get get any of the Flex back for extending our player's career, or is that gone for good? Why is the natural plateau only one season?

I'm sure some of these questions have been answered. I'm just trying to figure it out.

Correct. I believe each boost gives you a half a season's worth additional.

The Legends league has to be CPU because obviously people wouldn't keep going back to build if the legend teams were human ran and you could watch your player forever. Pretty sure the big idea behind it is to not have a similar situation to GLB1 where people sat in a league with their post plateau player accumulating stats forever and taking over the HoF Emmitt Smith style.

The 1 season plateau is likely because of the totally free player they have. And of course they want you to keep going back through the cycle as quick as possible or spending the flex to stay around a little longer.

how will they be spending more flex? you pay 0 flex to be there.

If you keep a player in those leagues and enjoy it too much, why would you spend flex to start another player? Perhaps my wording was a little weird, but that's what I'm getting at.

I get the idea behind it, but I suppose that I wish they gave you at least one more season to enjoy your player. I guess you could enjoy it in the Legends League, but that would get boring quickly for most people. I also get them not wanting people accumulating stats forever.

I get why they're doing it, but that doesn't mean I didn't wish things were different. I suppose you live with what you get.

ohh. i guess if you enjoy CPUs controlling who returns kicks, your 8 catching powerback getting more passes than rushes etc. then sure stay in those leagues.

i guess the one season of plateau is just to give you an idea of how your player plays at end build. if you like it, buy the career boosts, if not, join the legends league or retire.

Buying *all* the SP boosts gives you some free career length - I forget how much (the mouseovers only tell you if you have a dot with SP boosts available and unpurchased) but I think it's a full season.

That was my point when saying that I understand why they aren't human-controlled teams.

Pretty sure each boost gives 15 games.

The only thing I don't like about this system is the fact that you aren't rewarded at all for having a very good end build. On the other hand, it makes the lower level leagues more important, since it's not all about the end game. I understand what was trying to be done. I just think this system swings away from the end build too much.

And before anyone chimes in to say that you can use flex to extend a player's career, I get that. But it's like you're paying for your own reward.

C'est la vie. It's not like I can complain that much anyway, since I'm just using my free player at this point. I'm not pumping money into this game until I figure out how an entire career is going to go.

The career boosts give 15 games. There is a "bonus" given if you buy all the "SP" boosts, which is described in the mouseover of an available but unpurchased SP boost. As I recall, it is a full season. This would match up with the FAQ statement that buying "all available boosts" will give you an additional 3 seasons of plateau; 2 seasons come from the four Career Boosts and 1 season from buying all the SP Boosts. Unless there's also a bonus for buying all the AP boosts, I suppose.
