I'll ask him about this today but this isn't a critical issue. Bort and Cdog have been focusing on many other fixes for the launch of S2. I'm sure this will be addressed in due time.

Just talked to Bort and Cdog. Players MUST wait until the end of the season before retiring. This might change in the future but for now, don't jump the gun by cutting players or retire players before the offseason.
