So I am in the last day of my 1st Season with a WR Josh Gordon. I decided fairly early on to pump Speed. His Skills allow him to reach 99 or 100 Speed, which ever is max, and so far I've got him to 65 Speed.

So I'm sort of looking for 2 Things here.

1. What is the highest Speed Rating some one has Achieved in Year 1?

2. Is my 65 Speed and your 65 Speed, on different Dots with other attributes affecting it... running the same 40 Time?

I put up an BLAZING (LOL!) 5.09 40 Yard Dash with Josh Gordon at 65 Speed.

So please post your Top Speed Rating, and their 40 Time (especially the 40 Time if you ALSO have exactly 65 Speed for the comparison).

Thanks!

Update: He has Catch In Stride and 1st Step (1st Step may affect the calculated 40, CIS might affect his 'game speed' if that gets shown in 40).

Also, I checked and his Max Speed is 100.

Speed is related to Sprinting, Quickness, and Conditioning. The best 40 probably relates to anyone who managed to sneak out the best set of traits that both gave you really good starting conditioning and quickness and the cheapest sprinting (without killing their max).

Conditioning to 100 can reduce your 40 by 0.09 seconds.
Quickness to 100 can reduce your 40 by 0.2 seconds.
Speed to 100 can reduce your 40 by 1.6 seconds.

All 3 to 100 can reduce your 40 time by 1.89 seconds, from 6.09 to 4.2 seconds.

4.2 is the fastest 40 you can obtain from what I've seen through experimentation. Situation stuff like first step doesn't reflect on the combine speed of your player. Whether or not abilities like Slot Reciever or Catch in stride can cause your sprinting or quickness to go above 100 in the game isn't known. It won't show up on your combine time either way though regardless.

Longhornfan1024 has the fastest player. His player isn't the fastest possible build though. You can get 100/100/100 caps on sprinting/quickness/conditioning. You won't be able to do a whole lot else though, lol.

actually, you can't. Not without a Superstar, at least.

And it doesn't even require cap boosters.

That build isn't open, to see the 100 Caps. Not that I don't trust you.

Slow Build is probably what does the trick.

Would rather do this and use 2 cap boosters. Would end up with a better build overall. Ya I would end up with only 99 Sprinting but I would have higher Route stuff and probably snap reaction.

Ah, sorry, didn't realize it was closed.

Pretty much 10 speed/10 agility/10 stamina Traits: speedster, workhorse, slow built.

I was too lazy to bother to see if it can be done better by shaving some stuff and using cap boosters

Didn't Dallas, or maybe the Seahawks, have a receiver like this way back when. Everybody said the guy was a cokehead but he was so fast he got behind just about every D. I still remember him beating the defenders by a couple of strides and when the quarterback threw him the ball, the doper never even looked back for the ball. It hit him in the back of the helmet 60 yards downfield, would have been a cake TD easily.

Anyway, +1 for the build.
