What is the logic to when teams elect to kick? Is there any logic.

On the opposition 21yd line (21.4 or so to be exact) and SAFE FG set to <=40 why are we punting? As far as I can see from other FG´s they do snap longish, almost 8 yards but we still should have gone for it!

When does Max FG kick in btw? Is it only late in the game when you are behind?

And we REALLY need more control over clock management, just look at this nice drive from our own 21 to their 16 at the end of the first half. We run to the outside and the guy is tackled when there is still 27 seconds on the clock and we let time run out? What the... Even a team of norwegians could have gotten a spike off in 27 seconds when everyone is reasonably close to the ball!

End of half logic is pretty screwed up. Only calls 2 timeouts, doesn't use max FG range, AFAIK never tries to use spikes to stop the clock either. On the other hand we already see games where the timeouts start flowing and there are like 3-4 drives in the last 2 minutes of the half, which is also kinda lol.

I have seen spikes but I cant swear it was in the first half. could be end of game only.

Same problem here. We have safe FG at 42 and max set to 48 yet we recently punted from the 22 yd line.

Am I missing something here?
