The offseason is a time for teams to assemble, players to get to know each other, and units to practice and gel before games start to count.

As such, I think players who sign in the offseason should start out with chemistry around 25 or so. Keep 0 chemistry for midseason acquisitions, players who are learning the playbook "on the fly" like Trent Richardson this year, but give a little bit of chem to people signing at the "right" time.

Trent Richardson's issue isn't chemistry it's horribleness

It would help out a lot in Rookie, especially the first few games of the season. Perhaps enough to roll back some of the special "Rookie Mode" code (which I have a personal vendetta against wherever possible). As long as a player signs before the team's first game.

I love this idea. Shows how time in training camp can make you better with your team.

I think itīs a great idea! Games looked horrible in the beginning of season 1 even with the rookie mode buffs. Itīs pretty strange that every new player on the team is instantly hated and has to work his way from zero. Players should start with like 50 and loose chem if they finish a game with really low moral or something. Midseason guys could get 20-25 or so depending on how far in they arrive.

There is no "rookie mode" code.

I like the idea of 0 chem being "hated" and players starting in a more neutral position having to earn rely bad chem like earning really good chem
Perform poorly for several games i a row etc

Might want to have rookie dots start out a bit higher than 0 chem in future seasons?

There was something in place for this, except I forgot to add it to one equation...namely the botched snap equation.

Perhaps you meant something else by "something in place for this", but that sure sounds like you meant special Rookie exception code.

I think this would be great - and has some relation to real life football (which I think Bort historically likes). I can't imagine it would be tough to do...

any player on a team roster by the end of day 1 of the offseason gets a +25 chemistry bonus due to 2-a-days / mini camps - training camp and "optional" (as they say in NFL) position camps.

I hope we do something like this, I built my team so poorly this season I'm having to redo about 80% of my roster to keep them viable for the long run.

Are we really going to start off the season again at 0 chem for new pick-ups?
