So I made a QB....and there are no CPU teams available. And I don't want to refund him because I chose the "experienced" option which means I'll lose flex.

It seems crazy to me that there isn't a CPU-only league that populates infinitely to at least have a home for new players.

Hi i'm gonna make a low demand player and than bitch about there not being any availability. It seems crazy to me that someone would create an experienced player close to the end of the season, and than complain about no teams. I wish people would think a little before making players, you must of known there wouldn't be a spot open, you couldn't of waited like two weeks when the next season started.

In GLB1, "low demand" players are tough to find human owned teams for, but the D-Leagues still find contracts for you with ease. I built a QB earlier, expecting just that. I wanted to experiment and figure some stuff out, but could only do pickup games.

Not that easy even on high demand ones so far. Right now too many inactive owners and later in the season. Might make sense to allow those waiting on teams to select new LVL1 teams on release or accept an existing team with a defaulted owner.

I do love the new roster size and smaller leagues I think they address the critical issues that drove me away from GLB1, but you shouldn't unlearn the lessons from the first. Specifically that; Good active owners can make the game more enjoyable for players and build a sense of forum community - some will find ownership not to their liking and quit early, giving "new blood" an opportunity to move in as fast as possible (14 days was reasonable) allows for a better overall game experience for both sides. (Oh and fix the marketplace to show players who are active or when last active )

Not everybody can have a QB Jimmy John, or all of GLB2 would be QBs chucking balls at each others heads.

I 100% agree, if we're talking about Human teams.

But it's unrealistic to believe that new players aren't going to create QBs and HBs. If there aren't at least shitty CPU teams always available, we're setting those new players up for failure.

(Also, "Low Demand" probably isn't worded strongly enough. If there are no teams for QBs, creation for them should be turned off IMO)

I finally retired my DT after waiting forever for someone to offer him.

If we had GLB2 America and GLB2 Europe, for example, with all GLB2 Europe leagues starting halfway through the GLB2 America season, people wouldn't have to wait as long for the opportunity to join teams, human or CPU. Might not be feasible, but this issue of no teams is p much what I was trying to solve with this suggestion.

According to one of the posters, these mid-season leagues did start. So I don't get why there aren't enough spaces for people.

Yup, I might have to do that with a player.

It makes me sad though to lose FP on a toon that never played anything other than a pickup game.

I don't think it will be done every season, I think they had every position in low demand or something and they needed more teams to fill the void for this season. I think Bort would be just making teams from now on at the end of the Season unless there is a boost in toon making. Right now there isn't enough Demand for that to happen again yet. They also did state that they want to do something different with this game and not follow the GLB set up, per se. We will see how that goes though as it is up to them on how they want this to be done.

Agree with your points, however I'm not sure the "demand" counter is 100% accurate because of inactive owners. I get it on QBs and HBs but when (like the guy above who retired his DT) agents in average demand or even high demand can't find human teams that is something that should be remedied.

You've got owners who are inactive (have not logged in) and those who are not actively filling teams as well. I took it upon myself to email about a dozen owners whose appeared active and whose teams had pretty significant roster CPU postings by going league to league and looking at the bottom teams. Only one replied and it was "hey thanks but I dont have time to run the team". Understandable sentiment, just pointing out that retreading inactive owners during the course of the season could provide some relief for those looking to get involved on human teams.
