Coming back after an 8th month layoff, I built a HB. I figured that I would just hop on a CPU team, like old times. I created my "Free Player". Then I went to the player page, and clicked on the Offers button expecting to get put into a computer team. The message that came up was that their were "NO TEAMS AVAILABLE" computer or otherwise. So I couldn't get my player on a team.

This is BAD. The only way I could see my new player in a game was to put him in a "Pick Up" game, and that costs 15 flex. I got a shit-ton of flex, but a new player does not. They get a free player to see how they like the game, but if that free player can't even get on a team, and they have to pay 15 flex, which they don't have, then you are going to have a hard time keeping new players, as they never actually get to experience the game, let alone give their player the EXP he needs to advance.

GLB 1, was smart enough to include the CPU starter leagues. New players could instantly join a team, and watch their player throughout a season(Or What was left of it). If they built well, a 2nd season team might pick them up, if they didn't and the player under-performed, they could start a new one.

As it stands now, if I were a new player, I would make my free character, not get him on a team, and just quit because I can't see my guy in action(unless I pay to see him in a pick up game, with money I haven't spent, because I have no idea how the game works yet).

So, in conclusion, bring back the 1st season CPU teams, as they are the only way new players get to see players that they just created in action.

And Yes, I am back, at least for a little while.

They do have "D-Leagues"

At the bottom. They're probably just full of HBs.

we may add more d-league teams.

also, try out the player's "pick up game" option. it's a quick way to see your player play in a game!

That was exactly my point. If I was a new player, would that explanation give me any comfort? I as a new player can NOT see my player on a team because their are NO teams to join.

Last I checked putting my player in a "Pick Up Game", cost 15 flex. I dunno how much free flex you give to new players(because I ain't one), but sucking them dry just to see their player play a "pick up game" game is....... You get the point. You want new players, you need to find a way for them to get on a team right from the get go. Making them pay to see their player in a scrimmage, isn't going to engender interest in the game.

every player gets a free pickup game every day.

agree that having teams for players to join is important.
