Seems like you could omit Quickness just as easily by absorbing it into the technique and elusiveness skills the way strength is contained in the power skills. If there is a baseline to cutting and juking, shouldn't there also be a baseline power stat to unite the power skills? Or maybe we don't need multiple kinds of power?

It's pretty weird that you could build a kicker with 90 Field Goal Power and 20 Kickoff Power even though they are nearly identical skills irl, would this kicker have the exact same kickoff distance as a guy with 20 of each?

What about the guy with max Pass Block Power and minimal Run Block Power, is he a total snowflake when run blocking? Irl,isn't the difference between the two kinds of blocking just the technique with which a player uses his power which remains unchanged either way? It's the same arms and legs doing the shoving. Is it fair that he has to go against dline who can resist both kinds of pushing with a single skill in Hold Ground?

Yea I was wondering how you make a power back. Power running is different from Strength. Power is power. You can run with power but not have power. They need a STR attribute

there are way too many attributes and they seem disconnected.

I would argue that run blocking power and pass blocking power comes from 2 different areas so it makes some sense. I think we talked about this on the test server though and the thought of adding a strength attribute just kinda seemed to be overkill.

not necessary to do this imo. The Power back stuff is easy to answer...pump in Balance and Powwer Running like a boss.

The Thing with the blocking is totally srewed up tho...They shoulde simply done a "Blocking Power" instead of splitting it. Just raise the SP cost on that thing and its fixed. Just seems stupid the way blockers are made now. can be wrong tho

Don't be silly ppl, a powerful run blocker and a powerful pass blocker have to different skill sets.

run blocking is more leg drive than anything, pass blocking is more about having a strong foundation, core muscles, etc

also, if you increase your power running attribute, it also increases your bench reps. So it is strength.

I doubt there is a muscle group that helps you push forward that doesn't also help you not get pushed back. The differences in technique make perfect sense and should account for most of the difference in a guys ability, not the specific kind of power he has.

But say I conceded that point, what about the kicker thing? Would make much more sense for them to have one kind of power than it is that they have one kind of accuracy.

This would all make sense if the combine numbers were used in combination with the skills in the sim calculations. Being a powerful runner should also make you a more powerful blocker than a scat back with no power running. It doesn't make sense that a guy can play like a big powerful person on one play and a waif on the next depending on the job he's doing.

In all srsness, if you had 5 mins of football experience you would know what you are saying is absurd. There is no correlation between running skill snd blocking skill, I mean come on.

Pretty much, it's good for only a general idea to where your player is, that is all.

Dude...just STFU already! You think that Danny Woodhead can block a 350 lb DE better than Frank Gore? I'm so sick of your BS posting.
