16-0 regular season in PWG with ZERO modifications to my AI and no scouting for any games other than to tag players for defense.

So yes it can be done! If you have a solid offense & defense, you DON'T need to scout for games and still can do well.

While this worked for the regular season and most tourney games, it won't work well for the playoffs, so my lazyness needs to stop now...

Of course it can be done, I'd already done it about 6 times in the past.

Although, I only won the title once when I did that, and it was with Gold Test Squad season 33.

I had done it many times before, but never 16-0, usually lost a few of the big games because of that.

As for scouting, not many of us "old-timers" do that any more. However, that's what makes some of the new talent good because they are, ie WE, TV, etc.

I know how powerful it can be as I did a ton of scouting a year ago when my no-no AZ team beat a fully boosted & CEQ'ed FGC in the championship game. The only reason I won that game was due to my heavy scouting. Just have not had the desire to put that much scouting into a single game since, but that's probably why I have not done well in the playoffs since.

That's exactly right. I didn't scout for that game because I was on a cruise at the time. Scouting makes all the difference in the playoffs.
