Sorry for my lack of posts guys, but the lack of discussion has put the forum posts toward the bottom of my priority list in GLB. However, this should be a fun and interesting read.
West:
Chicago is the clear favorite as the only undefeated team in PWG having faced every challenge and not stumbling once. However he has had great seasons before and walking away without a West title...
The Underdogz are the best defense in PWG, in my opinion, but so far they have done nothing but play regular season games. Can they sustain their success against playoff level coordination? I'm thinking this will be a tough team to beat.
BK Redbeards have taken that step up this year to jump from an above average squad to a top squad, but still need to jump up again to be an elite squad. If the Redbeards can't make that next step, I expect another early exit.
Royal has the lucky draw of facing LE in round 1. So I'll not have to write about them next week, which will save some time.
LE has lost quite a few regular season games lately compared to his normal, but now we will see if his build style will work out as it did last year. Can LE defend his S37 Western Conference Title?
I've said it a few times that HG is a dark horse in the West and I am unlucky enough to catch them in round 1. I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to face a great team in round 1 and I expect HG to be a tough out. The Guns are fully loaded and read to fire!
GTS won't make it past round 1. Thanks for coming tho.
Lynyrd somehow pulled a rabbit out and made it to the playoffs which is more of a moral victory than a significant event because he faces the seemingly impenetrable so far. I'm seeing an early exit for Crib.
East:
WE is in a great position to repeat with an easy opening game, however he could potentially play Birdman in round 2 who hold the only loss for WE in the last season and this combined OR WE could face AI who has played him way too close for comfort lately. Either way, WE doesn't have a cake walk.
FGC faces a sneaky first round game against a Subversive squad who has caused problems for top teams lately, but I expect at least a 2 TD victory here.
The TazVikes took one on the chin to finish the season by their round 1 opponent, but that was just one of those games where everything went right for RR and nothing went right for Taz. Will they bounce back?
All Pro gets a brutal match-up in round 1 with a still very good Birds of Prey squad, however I think AI has intentionally forced his offense to stink this year so he could unleash them in the playoffs!!!
Birdman started off on fire and quickly realized he didn't want to be a great team and stopped performing at a high level. Can he turn it back on?
RR had the big win in week 16, but was it a great performance or a sim-assisted victory? Round 1 will tell...
Subversive started off awfully, but has played tough opponents close lately. However itsply won't beat FGC in round 1.
Mighty Gibbs Jackets made it to the playoffs in a real shock for me. Thanks for coming and enjoy your drumming in round 1.
