at 80 they cost close to 2000 points

I have run some players through with the 210,000 points and it is crazy how low the bars are end build.

I still think we ought to cut about 25,000 off that total.

You can still build a D-line with 100 break pass power, 95 Hold Ground, and 90 Break Run Block and still have room for really decent awareness and tackling.

This shouldn't be like in GLB1 where there is very little difference in the effectiveness of the end-builds. Yeah, your BTE isn't going to catch a lot of passes, but you can make a very solid O-line that will be super effective in both the run and pass blocking.

FYI. Go to a player home page with at least one skill point + button active. Use the inspector under the developer tools in Firefox (chrome probably has one as well) and change the number of SP you have available to whatever you have left for a career. Press the one active + button you have, and all the others will turn on so you can assign them however you like. And no, hitting save won't allow you to cheat the system.

Yep the main issue is with any position where you're supposed to have good physical attribute. quickness, speed, footwork costs about the double as most of the other skills... Any position where you guy be an handicap you have a shit ton of points to use and hell your DT can have 85 pass block power on top of being a run stuffer no big deal. If you want to run tho you might as well be mentally challenged cause that's all you'll be able to do.

That's not true either. My non-superstar HB on my test was great, even though he only had 60 or 70 sprinting and 50 or 60 quickness and 40 or 50 footwork.

You have five seasons to figure out what is going to work, I wouldn't complain about final builds not working when we aren't even at the first 3500 SP unlock of the first season.

You just proved my point. Your DT has 3 skills over 90, your HB really has average physical skills.

And I dont care about end game builds I just build players i think will be fun. All I'm saying is you can be really well rounded and have high skils if your players is average at running, but if you want a player that can run, aka a DB or a WR(Cause hey hello that's a big part of their job!) you can't realistically go over 75 in any physical skills if you want your guy to be a football player.

If you want them to be great at something and also good at everything else, you'll need to get yourself a superstar.

My Superstar WR had 100 sprinting, 100 quickness, 75 Snap Awareness, 70 Footwork, 75 Balance, 60 Vertical, 65 Conditioning. If you want to blow your nut on something like that, you are going to have only average catching skills. I think 40 Rec Awareness, 35 Catch in Traffic, 50 Receiving Hands, 30 Receiving Grip, 50 Elusive Route, 50 Route Tech, 45 Consistency. I didn't waste any SPs on power rushing or elusive rushing, or any of the post catch skills.

On the other hand, I've built WRs with the opposite that were as good or better. Tall, Slow, but with 80s or higher in every single receiver skill, Balance, and vertical.

This isn't GLB1 where you can build a dot with 160 speed, 95 agility, and still have 93+ in catching. If you want them to be good at everything, they aren't going to be great at anything. 100 in a skill should be rare, not the norm. And if you have 100 in a skill, you are going to need to balance that with 40 in another important skill.

My point is, if anything, there are still too many SPs available to really distinguish builds.
