Why does my player have a certain number of games he can play?
Where can I find that number?
Do pickup games effect that?

The number of games is essentially seasons. I'm not certain there's a counter anyplace that says "x games remaining". Pickup game, scrimmages, and playoffs do not affect that number (I believe this information is correct).
