Are they going to try to make constant tweaks for competitiveness? Right now, and elite NFL QB consumes 15% or more of a team's cap (Rodgers = 17.9%). Right now, a high salaried QB, plus a 50% premium for being a "Superstar" would only represent less than 6% of the cap.

Superstar is a 150% increase, not 50%.

But no, we aren't going to try to enforce strict NFL standards regards salary.

We will almost undoubtedly be making changes for competitiveness as time goes on though.

need more cap space. my guys cant even get medium contracts

The cap is still one thing that scares me about the game. If you can't get everyone medium contracts with no superstars you are very heavy on salary affecting traits. I'm afraid agents won't care and teams are going to struggle.

Time Trial actually had some great ideas but they choose to "fix" the issue of "must have" traits by slapping salary hits on the best ones hoping that it would fix the problem.

seems pretty unfair some agents have to purposely make shitty players so we can have a team.

Yeah. In fairness, creating slightly imperfect players isn't creating shitty players.

Another fun fact from the test server? Most teams got by with less than 43 players on the roster.

well, i think its unfair for me to ask people to not build how they want. how hard is it going to be to recruit when our guys are older and we all use egotist?

i dont want to use less players. i like having a full squad of people i can make fun of when their dot messes up. just seems weird to force you push people away from making the best player possible if he wants to join his buddies.

they already took away the only fun thing to do as a coordinator, why ruin player building?

It was something we talked about in regards to traits and the salary cap, but the devs decided to keep them centered that way.

It rewards team cooperation and coordinating.

They can build how they want.

You'll just have to give them low salaries or carry fewer.

I hope there are tough decisions we all have to make as owners, and perhaps it does force some cuts we don't want to make. That will be the fun of owning. Stocked super teams would be no fun in the long run.

so once again us non network guys that have to pick up whoever we can just so we can fill a team have to send low contracts and have guys sitting at 50 chem?

well lucky for me not everyone on my team really wanted to read the traits and didnt take egotist. hopefully 95% of the other users didnt either so we can have more than 5 pro teams.

In a league with a salary cap, having great players as backups or in secondary roles should not happen. Just like in the NFL, guys have to move on to get paid, unless you want to blow your cap on having four stud WRs at the expense of a defense and O-line.
